This course is conducted in a classroom facility and at a local gun range. The course is designed for those familiar with firing a handgun. The instruction is conducted using multimedia presentations and covers what you need to know about carrying a firearm in Texas. In accordance with the statutory requirements for the new license course, the following topics are covered:

The objective of the course is to ensure that each student is fully aware of the law concerning carrying a handgun, the use of deadly force and its consequences, the proper and safe way to use, store, and fire a handgun.
Students will take a written multiple choice and True/False exam and must score 70% in order to pass the course. The shooting proficiency demonstration is a 50-round course of fire at a B27 target from a distance of 3, 7, and 15 yards. Students must score at least 175 of 250 points to pass the course.
NOTE:
The LTC course assumes that the student is proficient with a handgun. A handgun proficiency training class is offered if additional training is needed before attempting the proficiency course of fire. If you have no idea what you are doing with a handgun, have never fired one before, and/or are unfamiliar with your handgun - take a Basic Handgun Class first! Contact us to schedule a class before registering for the License to carry class.

Basic Gun Training for New Gun Owners / Beginners (Course & Live Fire) $75.00 per student

This course is a minimum of 2.5 hours at an outdoor gun range. It focuses on the fundamental of a handgun and shooting techniques. Students will fire approximately 100 rounds with a semi-automatic handgun or revolver.
An excellent "pre-course" for those wanting to get their license to carry (LTC).

Pistol Shooting Drills 1 / Intermediate course $90.00.
So now you have the basic fundamentals down (grip, stands, sight alignment, sight picture, gun safety, etc.) and you are eager to continue learning.
Price is $90.00 per person, 4 hours of range instruction.
This class is for someone that took their basic gun training and you’re comfortable with your gun. If you fail to use gun safety and to keep your muzzle pointed to a safe direction, you will be disqualified. A basic gun training will be offered instead.
Prerequisites / Must demonstrate:

> Prior basic handgun training or experience
> Must be comfortable and know how to fire the firearm

NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting $120.00 (MIN. OF 5 STUDENTS)

Description:
The NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting is intended for all individuals regardless of previous shooting experience. The entire course is 8 hours.
Course topics include:
gun safety rules, proper operation of revolvers and semi-automatic pistols, ammunition knowledge and selection, pistol selection and storage, shooting fundamentals, pistol inspection and maintenance, marksmanship, and shooting range safety. Additionally, students will complete live fire training and a nationally standardized shooting qualification while on the range with an NRA Certified Instructor. Students will receive the NRA Guide: Basics of Pistol Shooting handbook, take a Basics of Pistol Shooting Student Examination and receive a course completion certificate bearing the signature of the NRA Secretary and your NRA Certified Instructor.

During this portion of the course, you’ll learn about basic AR-15 parts and functions, safety rules & procedures, loading & unloading, emergency reloads and accessorizing your rifle. This course is designed to teach you how to operate your AR-15 safely and properly, whether for recreation, hunting, sports, or personal defense.
