License to Carry Class ( in person Class & Range)  

Time: 8:00 AM - 2:00 PM (Adding breaks and travel time to the range)

 

Range fees and targets are included. Only 12 seats available.  

Class and range will be done on the same day in Brownsville, TX.
Full course is $90.00 per person. This course is required by the State of TX to apply for your License to Carry.
A $25.00 pre-registration deposit is required, due to limited seats per class. After you register you will receive a receipt immediately after payment. You will receive a courtesy a reminder text a couple of days prior to your class. The balance is due the morning of your class morning.

What will the class cover?

> You will receive a certificate when you meet all requirements. (Required to get your LTC)
> Go overuse of force and deadly force.

What Should I Bring to Class?

1.  Photo ID (Driver's License or ID Card)
2.  Handgun & 50 Rounds 

3.  Hearing protection (over the ear or ear plugs)
5.  Eye protection (Safety, Sunglasses or prescription eyeglasses)
6.  The class balance in cash, cash app or Credit Card for payment. There is a handling fee of 3% for all credit cards.  

The objective of the course is to ensure that each student is fully aware of the law concerning carrying a handgun, the use of deadly force and its consequences, the proper and safe way to use, store, and fire a handgun. 

Students will take a written multiple choice and True/False exam and must score 70% in order to pass the course. The shooting proficiency demonstration is a 50-round course of fire at a B27 target from a distance of 3, 7, and 15 yards. Students must score at least 175 of 250 points to pass the course.

License to Carry Range Qualification ONLY Information

This is your next step after you finish your online License to Carry course. The LTC proficiency is a minimum of 1 hour.

> Firearm storage
> Breathing control

>Trigger finger discipline and placement 

What to bring with you?

  • A valid state driver's license or identification

  • Bring 2 copies of your certificate

  • Handgun (unloaded) and in a box or range bag

  • 50 rounds of ammunition

  • Cap with a brim

  • Eye & ear protection

  • No low-cut shirts

  • Footwear that covers both feet completely 

  • Towel for face and hands

  • We recommend bringing a total of 100 rounds in case you need to try a second time.

If you see a handgun or rifle class you would like to attend, but my firearms class schedule doesn't work for you, or maybe you'd feel more comfortable in a 1 on 1 training environment with the instructor. I'm glad to offer you private shooting lessons.

Couples, family and group of friends are welcome to schedule a private class.

Handgun Shooting Drills 1 Class Information

Handgun shooting Drills / Intermediate course 

So now you have the basic fundamentals down (grip, stands, sight alignment, sight picture, gun safety, etc.) and you are eager to continue learning.   

$90.00 per person,

This class is for someone that took their basic gun training and you’re comfortable with your gun. If you fail to use gun safety and to keep your muzzle pointed to a safe direction, you will be disqualified. A basic gun training will be offered instead.


Prerequisites / Must demonstrate:

> Go over the universal / safety rules

> Prior basic handgun training or experience

> Must be comfortable and know how to fire the firearm

> Demonstrate loading & unloading a magazine

> Loading, unloading, and clearing your handgun safely

> Demonstrate s solid shooting grip and stance

 

Course Covers:

> Learning the difference between misfire and misfeed

> Clearing your handgun from misfires and misfeeds

> Learning the difference between emergency & tactical magazine exchange

> Using proper stance and handgun grip.

> Learning target transition 

> Practice everything you learned with live fire.

AR-15 Basic Fundamental & Home Defense Course

AR-15 Basic Fundamental & Home Defense course  (max 4 students per class)

This is a 4 Hr. course.

CLASSROOM INSTRUCTION

  • Receive a Proof of Training Certificate when you complete the course.

During this portion of the course, you’ll learn about basic AR-15 parts and functions, safety rules & procedures, loading & unloading, emergency reloads and accessorizing your rifle. This course is designed to teach you how to operate your AR-15 safely and properly, whether for recreation, hunting, sports, or personal defense.

 

LIVE-FIRE INSTRUCTION at OUTDOOR RANGE

Get hands-on experience when learning about safe and effective operation of your AR-15. During live-fire instruction, we'll verify your rifle zero, while engaging in practical drills to become a better protector for yourself & family and your home. 

 

What to Bring

> AR15 Rifle platform only (Bring in a case or a carrying bag, UNLOADED) (RENTALS ARE AVAILABLE need to request prior to class. Additional $95.00 and includes the rifle and ammunition.)

> 140 to 160 rounds

> 2 to 3 magazines

> Red DOT/ Iron Sights (MUST BE ZEROED AT 50 YARDS)

This is a minimum of 6 hour course including Classroom and Firearms qualification. This class will bring you up to date on new rules and regulations. It will refresh some of the items you learned in the Level III class. Topics include: Rules and Regulations; Authority to Arrest; Field Notes and Report Writing; Rules on the Use of Force.

Firearms qualification can be with a handgun only or handgun and shotgun. You will need to supply your own ammunition. If ammunition is available it can be purchased at the shooting range. Ammunition needed 100 rounds for your handgun and 6 shells of 00 Buckshot for the 12 gauge shotgun.

** Handgun and shotgun are available for rent upon request.  ** The Range Fee is covered in the cost of the class.

Gun Cleaning 101 Class Information

Time: 6:00 PM - 7:45 PM

Class Fee: $45.00

 

This firearms maintenance course is designed to help gun owners learn the best and safest ways to clean their particular firearm. We will practice disassembling and reassembling your firearm as well as use a cleaning kit and other various tools necessary to maintain its performance. By the end of the class, you will have a cleaner gun and increased confidence in your abilities to handle and maintain your personal handgun.

    Level III Certification

    • Level III certification requires both Part 1 and Part 2.
    • Before registering for Part 1, you’ll need to secure a commitment from a licensed Level III Trainer to complete Part 2. (Call me for part 2)
    • The Level III Training Course (minimum 45 hours) and test (including course of fire) is required for all commissioned security officers and personal protection officers.

    This course is after you take the Level III part 1 online course.
